Relevant Bylaws:

§ One general membership meeting per quarter: third week of each quarter (Quarterly Meeting).

§ Board meets monthly, time and place and date as appropriate (Board Meeting)

§ A tentative schedule of such meetings shall be announced at the first monthly meeting of DECA each year

§ Election of officers shall take place in January

§ The nominating committee shall begin the process in October by written notice to the membership and a deadline for members to recommend candidates for office will be two weeks prior to the meeting. The committee shall publish a formal slate of candidates at least ten days before the annual meeting.

§ Bylaws can be adopted, amended, or repealed… at a general meeting for which written notice has been sent out ten days in advance.

§ Any proposed amendment shall be presented to the Board of Directors for inclusion at the next Quarterly Meeting for discussion. At the meeting subsequent, the Amendment will be put forth to a vote. The proposed amendment shall be published in the newsletter distributed prior to the vote.
