NNO Parade 2008
Celebrating National Night Out’s 25th Anniversary August 5, 2008

DECA’s Neighborhood Watch held our inaugural National Night Out Parade on August 5th traveling down Shallowford Road from Beverly Hills Dr to Dresden Drive, ending in Dresden Park.
The event was part of the continuing effort to build a close knit community, partnering with area Police Departments, and to drive out unwanted criminal elements.
The parade theme was “Give Neighborhood Crime and Drugs a Going Away Party”. The streets were initially filled with registered participants, but the parade grew longer and longer as excited residents spilled in from the sidewalks and joined along in the fun.
The parade delighted neighborhood onlookers, especially the children.
