DeKalb is governed by a CEO, and a County commission.

Surprisingly, their functions do not take up the majority of our taxes. Our school board is separate from the county government, and the bulk of your tax bill may be school taxes. Police, fire services, roads, parks, water and sewer, sanitation and zoning are all aspects of DeKalb’s government.
