FAQ

Q. I found some out of date information on this web site. What should I do?

A. You can email the webmaster to get it fixed, especially if you do not know the correct information. If you do know the correct information, and you are a DECA member, you can get an account and fix the pages yourself. This is similar to web sites such as Wikipedia, this is more like DECApedia.

First, login or register to the web site:

login

NOTE: the arrow is pointing the wrong way, the Meta menu is now to the lower left. I’ll fix this later.

Then a link will appear at the bottom of the page. It says simply “Edit this entry.” Click on the page and you will be sent to a window where you can make changes and save the file. If you can type a word document, you should have no problem here.

Q. What is an RSS feed and how is it being used on this site.

A. An RSS feed is simply a summary of information on websites that have information that changes periodically. By grabbing parts of the fee, it is easy to display this information on another web page. On this web page we grab our own feed for new posts and comments, as well as the titles of Yahoo group postings. We have a separate feed to a weather related web site as well. In the future we may add local news feeds or rezonings, if the county catches up to our level of technology.
